About Me
My name is Phirum and I'm a working, part-time student in an unrelated field. With that, I do have some experience and have worked with a lot of design, arts, graphics and animation. It's always been an outlet.
My experiences includes my senior year as student computer science intern at Watkins Mill High School for Mr. Gelston, later referred for an internship position with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the Web Services Team in 2005. Going through the selection process, I worked as part of intern team of 3. Our assignments involved redesigning and rebuilding elementary school web pages other departmental sections of the MCPS main site. My projects and assigments consisted mostly of images, graphics and animation, collaborating with interns Stephen Eskin (web programmer) and Justin Parks (web producer). With our core team of 3, high quality work was produced as we went out of the way to polish our work, even gaining the attention of school superintendent Dr. Jerry Weast.
I've done various work since as a working part-time student. I still currently maintain and update select sections of the MCPS web pages part-time, while doing other private web work which include logos design, digital photography, print media and animations. Then again, today's 5-year old can create and produce amazing things with the click of a mouse as well (just browse around YouTube) so I feel outdated already :/
